Despite advances in automotive lighting technology, the majority of modern vehicles are still using outdated halogen headlight bulbs. The Toyota Tacoma is no exception to this sad fact. These amazing trucks still do not come with LED headlights as a stock option, though some of their upgraded trim packages on the newest Tacoma models now feature LEDs. If you have a standard model or a truck that is a few years old, you can increase your headlight output and give your truck a sleek modern look with our Toyota Tacoma LED Headlights.
Here at Diode Dynamics, our team of engineers is dedicated to designing the best LED headlight bulbs on the market. By taking a look at every facet of our bulbs’ construction, we are able to ensure that our bulbs will work perfectly with your truck and offer the best possible light output.
Many LED bulbs on the market will advertise their high lumen output, but brightness is not the most important factor when it comes to headlight bulbs. The brightest LEDs will be useless unless they are properly focused. Because most headlights are designed to focus the light from a halogen bulb’s filament, it is crucial that the LEDs on a bulb align precisely with the location of the OEM bulb’s filament.
As long as the LEDs are spaced to emit their light from the same focal point as the halogen filament, the reflectors in the headlight assembly will be able to properly focus the light. This not only means that the LED chips need to be in the same height position as the filament but the spacing between the two back to back chips needs to be as thin as possible. Here at Diode Dynamics, we use extremely thin circuit boards so our chips are as close as possible, meaning the light they produce will be focused just like the light from your OEM halogen bulbs.
Installing our Toyota Tacoma LED headlights could not be easier. All of our bulbs are designed for simple plug and play installation and the headlights on the Tacoma are extremely easy to reach. All you need to do is pop the hood and you should be able to easily reach and remove your old bulbs. All you need to do after that is plug the connector from your new bulb into the socket attached to your old bulb and then install them the same way you took your factory bulb out. Be sure to test your bulbs for correct polarity before wrapping up, because you might need to unplug and flip the socket 180 degrees.
All of our Toyota Tacoma LED Headlights are designed to last for over 40,000 hours of use and come
